An IWC timepiece from circa 1945—one of twelve Swiss brands produced to the W.W.W. (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof) specification. This particular piece has an additional chapter in its history: following the war, it was issued to the K.N.I.L. (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army). After independence, it passed to the A.D.R.I. (Army of the Republic of Indonesia), which removed the original markings and engraved its own on the case back. Such a dual-issue provenance is documented in only a very small number of examples. The watch is powered by an IWC-manufactured, manually wound caliber 83 movement, features a sapphire crystal, and is housed in a steel case with fixed lugs. It comes accompanied by our own box and warranty.
